Accessibility at Tool Plaza
Tool Plaza aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA where practical. We improve labels, keyboard access, contrast, and semantic structure as we ship and update tools.
What we do
- Use semantic headings and landmarks on tool and trust pages
- Provide visible labels and
aria-labeltext on forms and icon buttons - Support keyboard navigation for primary actions and navigation
- Gate advertising behind cookie consent
- Offer documentation above forms so screen-reader users get context before inputs
Known limitations
Some tools rely on browser APIs that are harder to make fully accessible:
- Image tools use canvas and file pickers; alternative text for visual output may be limited
- Timers and animations (pomodoro, countdown, wheel spin) update frequently in the DOM
- Clipboard actions depend on browser permission prompts
- Color pickers and previews may not convey hue to all users without additional text
We document limits on individual tool pages when they affect typical use.
