Encode plain text to International Morse and decode Morse back to letters and digits. Words are separated with a slash (/); letters within a word are separated by spaces.
How it works
Encoding maps each supported character to its standard dot-dash sequence (letters aāz, digits 0ā9, and a small set of punctuation). Decoding splits on / for words and on spaces for character tokens, then looks up each token in the reverse table. The pipe character | is accepted as an alternate word separator on decode.
When to use it
- Practice Morse for amateur radio exams or puzzle hunts
- Encode short callsigns or challenge phrases
- Decode a pasted Morse line from a game or worksheet
Limitations
Only the curated alphabet is supported; accented letters and emoji fail with unsupported-character. Timing, tone, and prosigns beyond the static map are out of scope. Empty input is rejected.
